Fire-retardant Range
Our fire-retardant (FR) clothing uses PROTEX™, complies with EN531 standards and is perfect for use in competition, track days and workshops. PROTEX is a modified acrylic fibre with permanent FR qualities. The protective qualities of PROTEX don't wear out with repeated wear and laundering. Nor does PROTEX expose the skin to chemical additives.
PROTEX works by releasing a small amount of gas when it comes into contact with a flame, this displaces oxygen around the flame therefore removing the fuel source and extinguishing it.
Carbon Fibre FR Range
Carbon fibre is inherently non conductive so when it is added to the fabric it introduces excellent anti-static properties, perfect for fuel-vapour filled environments like race cars, pit lanes and workshops, where you don't want stray sparks to discharge. Carbon Fibre is also highly wear resistant.
So whether your attacking your local B road in a rag top or enclosed in a sweaty cockpit at the track, Manifolds range of new VILOFT and PROTEX garments are designed to manage heat and perspiration while offering extra levels of safety.
Breathable & Thermal Garments
We use VILOFT® in our clothing range to introduce thermal and breathable properties. VILOFT fibre has an engineered flat cross-section which traps pockets of air to protect and insulate against the cold. Besides the excellent thermal properties, this unique structure gives the fabrics an extremely soft feel for superb next-to-skin comfort.
VILOFT's unique surface helps to achieve an advanced capillary action. This performance draws moisture away from the skin and through the fabric. Breathable garments keep the wearer dry, making VILOFT the ideal solution for drivers.
